The Austral Winter Institute will take place over three weeks, 22 July to 9 August 2019, at University Austral of Chile in Valdivia. Each week is devoted to a course that provides training on specific topics related to the general theme:
- Week 1 – End to end food web models (22 – 26 July)
- Week 2 – Understanding connectivity, sustainability and ecology (29 July – 2 August)
- Week 3 – Biogeochemical modeling with data assimilation (5 – 9 August)
Interested participants should apply through the Austral Winter Institute website and may apply for one or more course. Applicants should indicate how a course relates to their research. The application deadline is 15 May 2019 (extended). Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and successful applicants will be notified by late April to early May.
