2006 Ocean Carbon Biogeochemistry Workshop
July 10-13, 2006
The workshop will ran all day Monday-Wed. and a half day on Thursday. The meeting plenary talks were organized around several major themes:
- marine ecosystem-biogeochemical dynamics of the euphotic zone and mesopelagic
- the ocean carbon cycle and climate
- air-sea CO2 fluxes (measurement, variability, impact on the atmosphere)
In addition, there were poster sessions and plenary discussions/breakout groups to discuss future research opportunties on:
- ocean acidification (building on St. Petersburg report that will be released shortly)
- work in the Southern Ocean leveraging proposed Gas-Ex3 experiment and proposed CLIVAR work
