Dear Colleagues,
We would like to invite abstract submissions to the following session at
the AGU Fall meeting. AGU will accept abstracts from 21 July to 2
September, 2010.
PP19: Glacial Inception and Termination - Reconciling Observations,
Theories and Models
(Jochum, Peacock, Otto-Bliesner)
Description: Over the last 10 years models and databases covering the
last two hundred thousand years of earth's climate history have been
improved significantly. They are now good enough to allow for the
rejection of hypotheses regarding the causes and timings of the glacial
inceptions and terminations. We invite submissions that connect the ice
sheet record to the carbon cycle, land & sea ice dynamics and temperature,
and solar insolation. Of particular interest are new observations and
model studies that constrain the magnitude and phasing of the various
changes.
