GOSAT(Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite) is a satellite which has been developed jointly by JAXA(Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), NIES(National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan), and MOE (Ministry of the Environment, Japan) and is planned to launch next winter.
Recently a Research Announcement has been issued to solicit proposals regarding GOSAT calibration, validation, algorithm development, and scientific data use including the inverse modeling for global CO2 source/sink mapping. Deadline for application is June 30, 2008.
