Ocean Infrastructure in 2030
FYI:
The National Research Council’s Committee on “An Ocean Infrastructure Strategy for U.S. Ocean Research in 2030” is requesting community input on ocean research infrastructure that will be needed in 2030 to address the pressing research questions at that time. Of course, ocean infrastructure includes ships of various types, but might also include shore side facilities with large, expensive instrumentation such as the National Ocean Sciences Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Facility at WHOI or in situ observing systems based on large arrays of autonomous platforms (mooring, gliders, profiling floats....) or fixed assets such as cables. The committee’s goal is to receive input from as broad a perspective as possible.
The call for input is attached as a pdf file.
Thanks
